Shikampuri Kebab Non Veg Recipe (Hyderabadi Kebabs) is very famous around the nation, but this is an authentic dish of Hyderabad. You will certainly enjoy the taste of it.



  •  mutton or beef mince – 500 gm
  •  channa daal – 1/4 cup
  •  cooking oil – 2 Tbsp
  •  green cardamoms (choti elaichi) – 6
  • cloves (laung) – 4
  •  allspice (kebab chini) – 1/2 tsp
  •  sticks cinnamon (dalchini) – 2
  •  bunches mountain moss or pathar ke phool (optional) – 2
  • black cumin seeds (shahi jeera) – 1/2 tsp
  •  onion – 100 gm
  • flakes garlic – 20
  •  red chillie powder – 1 tsp
  •  turmeric – 1/2 tsp
  •  fresh coriander – 2 Tbsp
  •  fresh mint – 2 Tbsp
  •  green chillies oil to shallow fry For the filling 250 gm hung yogurt – 2
  •  onions – 200 gm
  •  green chillies – 2
  •  taaza dhaniya – 2 Tbsp
  •  taaza pudina – 2 Tbsp
  •  black pepper salt – 1 tsp

Shikampuri Kebab Non Veg Recipe Procedure:

  1. Take a pan and heat some oil. To this add green cardamom, cloves, allspice powder, cinnamon, mountain moss and royal cumin seeds.
  2. Saute it for a while.
  3. Now add the meat cook for a while
  4. To this add onion and garlic, then the channa daal, salt, red chillies and turmeric still well and add coriander, mint, green chillies and stir.
  5. Now, add 2 cups of water. Bring to a boil till the daal is cooked and the water is completely absorbed.
  6. When the meat is cooked, cool it and transfer to a blender and mince finely.
  7. Now let us do the filling, take hung yogurt, add onions, deseeded green chillies, chopped coriander and mint. and add black pepper and mix it all in a bowl.
  8. Now, make moulds according to your wish or simply flatten each mince ball, place a portion of the filling in the middle and cover to make patties.
  9. Heat a little oil in a pan and shallow fry.
  10. Fry till golden brown
