Ragi Rotti is very popular dish in Karnataka. Ragi rotti is prepared in the same way as Akki rotti. It is made up of ragi flour, salt water.
- 1 cup ragi flour
- 1 tablespoon cumin
- 1 onion finely chopped
- 1 green chilli finely chopped
- 2 tablespoon coriander leaves finely chopped
- few curry leaves
- 1 tablespoon salt
Instruction to make Ragi Rotti
In a mixing bowl add chopped onions, chilies, coriander leaves, curry leaves, salt, cumin seeds and mix well.
Now add ragi flour to the above mixture and add boiling water as required and make a smooth and soft dough.
Pat the dough on plastic sheet, grease the plastic sheet with oil.
Grease your fingers with oil and take a ball and spread it evenly and make thin as possible.
Heat a pan once and drop the sheet upside down on the pan and after a minute, gently peel the sheet off.
Put some oil or ghee around the rotti and cook both the sides until golden brown.
Serve the rotti hot with chutney.
