How to make Kerala Pazham Pori Snack – Kerala Cuisine

Pazham Pori Snack

  • Pazham Pori Snack is a common street snack in Kerala.

Ripened Nendra Banana –  1 large
Maida – 3/4 cup
Rice flour – 3 tbsp
Milk – 2 tsp
Turmeric powder: a pinch
Sugar – adjust accordingly to the sweetness of Banana
Salt: a pinch
Cardamom: 2 Crushed, optional
Baking Powder: a pinch (optional)
Oil for frying

 How to make Pazham Pori | Ethakka Appam | Ripe Plantain Fritters:

 1. Peel off the banana skin and cut into thin slices lengthwise. (3-4 pieces)
2. Take a wide mixing bowl and add all the ingredients except for oil together with water and make a smooth batter.
3. Take a shallow frying pan heat oil in it.
4. Dip the banana pieces into the batter and gently frying pan. You can even deep fry them
5. Fry the banana and turns crisp
