Nachos Chips | Mexican Chips Recipe

Nacho chips is a snack made from maize flour or corn tortillas, which are cut into triangle shape and then deep fried or baked in oven.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup maize flour
  • ½ cup wheat flour
  • ¼ tablespoon turmeric
  • ½ tablespoon pepper crushed
  • ½ tablespoon salt
  • 2 tablespoon oil
  • water 
  • oil for frying

Instruction to make Nacho Chips

  1. First, in a mixing bowl take maize flour and wheat flour. Also add turmeric, pepper, salt and oil.
  2. Now mix well and make sure all the ingredients are combined well.
  3. Now add water and start to knead the dough. Knead to stiff and smooth dough.
  4. Make a ball sized dough, and dust with wheat flour. Roll slightly thick, dusting wheat flour.
  5. Trim the sides and cut into triangle shape.
  6. Now heat oil in a pan and drop the triangle chips into heated oil or bake in oven 25 minutes.
  7. Fry on medium flame until the nachos chips turn crisp and golden brown.
  8. Drain off the chips over tissue paper to observe oil.
  9. Serve the nacho chips with cheese or tomato sauce.
