Murgh Malaiwala Chicken Recipe is a typical Punjabi Chicken recipe which looks white and glossy. Since no colored spice is added. Try and let us know how much did you like it.

Ingredients:

  • For the gravy:
  • Cream – 1 cup
  • Chillies, chopped – 3 green
  • Onion, chopped – 1
  • Milk – 2 1/2 cup
  • Green cardamom powder – 1 tsp
  • Chopped ginger – 1 tsp
  • Chopped coriander leaves – 2 Tbsp
  • Dry ginger powder – 1/2 tsp
  • White pepper powder – 1 tsp
  • Kasoori methi – 1 tsp
  • Garam masala – 2 tsp
  • A pinch of saffron
  • Almonds – 2 tsp chopped
  • Salt, to taste

    For the marinade:
  • Chicken drumsticks – 5
  • Ginger paste – 1 tsp
  • Garlic paste – 1 tsp
  • White pepper powder – 2 tsp
    For the garam masala:
  • Black cardamom – 1
  • Green cardamoms – 6-8
  • Piece mace – 1
  • Cumin seeds – 2 tsp
  • Cloves – 4-5
  • Cinnamon – 1
  • Black peppercorns 4-5
  • Dried rose petals – 6-7

Murgh Malaiwala Chicken Recipe Procedure:

For the marination:

With a fork pierce the drum sticks of chicken and marinate with ginger, garlic paste and white pepper for thirty minutes.

For the garam masala:

Dry roast all the ingredients of garam masala and grind them into powder.

For the gravy:

In a pan add cream, onions, green chillies, and cook till the onions are soft.

To this add milk and the marinated chicken and mix well.

Now add green cardamom powder, chopped ginger, dry ginger powder, coriander leaves, white pepper powder, kasoori methi, garam masala, salt, a pinch of saffron.

Cook this for some about 7-10 minutes in low flame.

Garnish with chopped almonds and serve hot.
