Kulukki Sarbath is a famous Kerala summer drink.
It is specifically popular in Kochi.
One of my friends from Kerala served this a week ago and I couldn’t stop sharing with you all.
A perfect summer drink to keep your body cool and quench the thirst.
Ingredients for Kulukki Sarbath
- Lime – 1 Medium Sized
- Water – 2 cups + ¼ cup
- Ice cubes or crushed ice – 1/2 cup
- Sugar – 3 tbsps.
- Green chilli – 1
- Pineapple – 1/3 cup, finely chopped
- Ginger – 1 tsp finely chopped
- Basil Seeds / Sabja Seeds – 1 tsp
How to prepare Kulukki Sarbath :
Soak the sabja seeds in 1/4 cup of water. Soak it for at least 15 to 20 minutes.
Take a blender bottle or any vessel that is comfortable to shake.
It this add chopped ingredients – pineapple, green chili, ginger and the crushed ice
and add the sugar and squeeze the lime juice.
To this add the soaked basil seeds and 2 cups of water.
Close the lid and shake vigorously until the sugar is dissolved.Kulukki Sarbath is ready to be served. I bet you will feel relaxed and energetic after this drink in this scorching summer.
