Kachri Ki Chutney | How to make Haryanvi Chutney

Kachri Ki Chutney is a spicy Haryanvi Chutney. Kachri is a wild variety of cucumber. This chutney is made by mixing garlic, salt, red chilli powder, turmeric and coriander, which makes it spicy and delicious chutney. But the cucumber flavour is refreshing.

Ingredients Of Kachri Ki Chutney

  • kachri – 50 gm
  • garlic paste – 100 gm
  • turmeric powder – A pinch
  • red chilli powder – 10 gm
  • coriander powder – 10 gm
  • Salt to taste
  • cumin seeds – 2 gm
  • A pinch of asafoetida
  • Oil

How to Make Kachri Ki Chutney

1. Soak the Kachri for 5-6 hours in water and grind it to a fine paste in a mixer.
2. To this mix garlic, salt, red chilli powder, turmeric, coriander powder.
3. Take a pan and put some oil in it.
4. As the oil heats add the cumin seeds and let them crackle.
5. Then add the asafoetida and mixture it.
6. To this add 60 ml of lukewarm water.
7. boil it in simmer for 4-5 minutes and turn off the stove.
Let it cool down. Then you can always eat with chats, rice or as you wish to. It is spicy hence eat according to your taste.
