Jangri Sweet Recipe | How To Make Jalebi Using Urad Dal

Jangri or Jilebi Sweet Recipe:

Diwali is lacking without sweet and delicious food.

In a country like India where several types of desserts can be found, Jangri is a worldwide preferred dessert.

In this sweet dessert that’s formed like a rather big, hectic pretzel.

It is usually prepared in India and Pakistan.

An appropriately made Jalebi includes a sour element with a sweet flavor.

Jalebi is a choice on most occasions be it a wedding ceremony, party or birthday.

Jangri is a deep-fried sweet made from maida flour after which soaked in syrup.

It is an exciting orange or yellow in color and also offered in white.

It is generally offered hot or cold and it has a somewhat soft feel with the crystallized sweet outer layer.

The sugars get moderately fermented which adds savor to the dish.

Ingredients for Jangri:

  • Saffron color – 1 pinch
  • Oil – to fry
  • Sugar – 2 cups
  • Rice flour – 1 Tps
  • Urad dal/split black gram – 1 cup
  • Water – 1 cup.
  • Lime juice – 1 Tps

Method:

  1. Wash and soak the dal for at least 1 hour.
  2. Exhaust the water and batter to a very well fix till the consistency of glue sticking add saffron color and rice flour if required add to ziplock container and pipe it into a little hot oil.
  3. Put them into sugar syrup as shown for not more than few minutes serve hot
