Haak Veg Recipe is one of the most famous dishes of Kashmir Cuisine. Haak looks similar to that of spinach. It is a healthy Indian food Recipes.


  •  haak – 1/2 kg
  •  water
  •  mustard oil – 3-4 tbs
  •  chopped garlic – 1 tsp
  •  heeng – 1/4 tsp
  •  red chillies – 5-6
  •  brown cardamom – 2-3
  •  dry ginger powder – 1/2 tsp
  •  saunf – 1 tsp
  • Salt to taste

Haak Veg Recipe Procedure:

  1. In a deep pan, put some mustard oil and heat to smoking point.
  2. To this add the garlic,heeng, red chillies and cardamom and saute.
  3. Add the ginger powder,saunfand salt, stir again.
  4. Now add the haak mix well and cook till it reduces a little.
  5. Pour little water and cover and cook for another 10-15 minutes.
  6. Haak Saag is ready to serve.
