Ingredients:
- Lamb meat – 250 gm
- Turmeric powder to taste
- Salt to taste
- Ginger-garlic paste
For the curry: - Refined oil – 2 Tbsp
- Cloves – 6
- Cardamoms – 3
- Cinnamon – 1 stick
- Cumin seeds – 1/2 tsp
- Chopped onions – 3 Tbsp
- Ginger garlic paste – 1 tsp
- Gongura leaves – 100 gm
- Red chilli powder – 1 Tbsp
- Coriander powder – 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
- Curry leaves – 1/2 tsp
- Slit green chillies – 6
- Chopped coriander leaves
- Water – 50 ml
- Salt – 1 1/2 tsp
- Fried red chilli, curry leaves
- Butter or ghee
Gongura Mamsam Recipe Procedure:
- In a pan boil the meat with turmeric powder, salt and ginger garlic paste.
- In another pan heat oil. To this add cloves, cardamoms, cumin seeds and chopped onions. Saute them and onions till they turn translucent.
- Now, add ginger garlic paste, gongura leaves, red chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, curry leaves, slit green chillies, chopped coriander leaves, boiled meat, water and salt to taste.
- Mix everything well and cook for 5 minutes.
- Garnish it with fried red chillies, curry leaves and butter or ghee.
- Serve hot. It tastes good with rice.
