Dum Aloo Veg Recipe | Kashmiri Cuisine | North Indian Food Recipe

Dum Aloo Veg Recipe is a typical Kashmiri cuisine. Potatoes are golden fried and are mixed with yogurt and spice.

Ingredients:

  • Potatoes – medium sized – 1/2 kg
  • Oil
  • Water
  • Kashmiri red chilli powder – 1 tsp
  • Garam masala – 2 1/2 tsp
  • Saunth – 2 tsp
  • Saunf powder – 1 tsp
  • Green cardamom – 2
  • Curd – 2-3 tbsp
  • Salt – to taste

Dum Aloo Veg Recipe Procedure:

  1. Clean the potatoes and cut them in the half.
  2. Deep fry them and then prick them keep it aside.
  3. Take a bowl and mix all the dry powders. To this add enough water to make a paste.
  4. Take a pan and heat the oil. To this add the cardamom and let it fry a bit.
  5. Now, pour in the paste and stir for about 4-5 minutes.
  6. To this add the potatoes and mix well but gently.
  7. Now the turn to add curd.
  8. Cover with a lid and cook for five minutes.
  9. Serve hot with rice.
