Butter naan generally resembles pita bread. Butter naan usually leavened with yeast or with bread. Naan is cooked in a tandoor.
- 1 cup maida
- ¾ tablespoon baking powder
- ¼ tablespoon baking soda
- 2/3 cup of yogurt
- ½ tablespoon sugar
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 4 tablespoon butter
- 1 tablespoon finely chopped coriander
- salt to taste
Instruction to make Butter Naan
In a bowl add maida, salt, baking soda, baking powder, sugar, curd and mix well and knead dough.
Punch well and make a soft dough and oil and coat well.
Now cover with moist cloth and leave for 1 hour. After an hour, pinch a small ball.
Then dust with some maida and roll to a oval shape using rolling pin (do not make too thin).
Put water on one side of naan and slowly flip over and put it on hot pan.
Brush some butter over the naan.
After a 2 minutes, flip the pan upside down and cook naan directly on flame till golden brown.
Add butter and chopped coriander to the naan.
Serve butter naan with curries.
