- Bathua /Chenopodium (100 gms )
- Yogurt / Dahi (2 cup )
- Black salt/kala namak (1/4 tsp )
- salt to taste
- Cooking Oil (3/4 tsp )
- Cumin Seeds / Sabut Jeera (1/2 tsp )
- Red chili powder (1/3 tsp )
Bathua ka raita Process
Wash the bathua well.
Then take warm water and boil them in enough water, let it become soft or pressure cook with little water for a whistle.
Then add some cold water, drain the water and then grind with little water and make a smooth paste.
Whisk the yogurt in a bowl.
Now take Bathua paste, salt, black salt, and mix it well.
Then add water to adjust the consistency and mix.
Now heat a little oil in a small pan and put cumin seeds and when cumin start crackling, add the red chili powder now remove heat and immediately pour this over the prepared Raita.
Mix well and serve chilled.
